THE PERSON BEHIND THE ACCOUNTS

My name is Darren Brown. This is my story.

I am the author of Beyond the Veil: The First Door, an autobiographical account of unusual experiences that have stayed with me across my life.

For many years, I spoke about them only with close friends and family. There were ordinary responsibilities to meet, children to protect and questions I did not know how to answer.

I waited until my children were older before speaking more publicly. I have shared my experiences in talks with Project Camelot, and the book brings this personal journey to the page.

Why I am sharing it

I want to describe what I remember honestly, including uncertainty. The experiences and the meaning I draw from them are my own. Readers are welcome to approach the story with curiosity and decide what they think.

Family and privacy

Sharing my story does not mean making every part of family life public. Some names and details remain private, and some accounts have been reserved for later books.
